Boat trips with basecamp
In the summer, we use boats to reach our outposts; Nordenskiöld Lodge and Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel. We can also explore glaciers, bird cliffs, and if we’re lucky, we might even see wildlife hiding in the vast Arctic Ocean. From the boat, we also enjoy the majestic Arctic landscape and the unique light that Svalbard offers during the summer.
We offer scheduled boat tours from May to September, and we can also provide boat charters for private trips and tailored experiences. Embark a medium sized, robust and comfortable vessel to enjoy the Svalbard nature, either from your inside window seat or on deck. Or choose to go expedition style on a smaller open boat to get close to the elements. It´s your choice. We have the options. Contact us for more information.

A wide fjord opens at 78°N on the west coast of Spitsbergen. Looking north you will see the distinct sailing mark Alkhornet. Looking south you will find Isfjord Radio Adventure Hotel, your home far away from home. Isfjorden is a gigantic fjord complex with cultural monuments from all Svalbard’s historical periods. Hop on our Polarcircle boat and explore the glaciers and characteristic mountains, bird- and wildlife that is conspicuous with great activity and traffic of nesting birds.

Welcome to the world’s northernmost commercial cabin. Hidden in the glacier moraine you can find our Nordenskiöld Lodge.
